So many people are talking about The Secret. Oprah recently had a show about it, and I find that trite as it sounds, in many instances, Oprah has her finger on the pulse of the nation. So I bought the book on Amazon, planning to read it on vacation, which began Feb. 15. But UPS came & went, and no book. I went online to check and saw “shipped - Feb. 15. Estimated delivery: Feb. 22. I became resigned but figured “I guess I was not meant to read this book.” On February 17, as I was waiting for the car service that would take me to the airport, my doorbell rang. it was a neighbor with a box “UPS delivered this to me on Friday. You weren’t home yesterday and I didn’t want to leave it at your door.” Voila - there was the book. The law of attraction at work. I had wanted the book, had visualized myself poolside in Florida, reading the book, and suddenly, the book appeared.
The Secret is the law of attraction - we attract what we think about. If we think about needing a new job, we attract needing a job, not having a job. If we give thanks for the job we know is coming to us, the law of attraction attracts getting the job, just as the law of attraction attracts needing a job (rather than actually getting and having a job). Interesting.How can I change my thoughts today? How can you?
